We are delighted to announce that groups of Pembrokeshire Young Farmers have decided to get involved with this year's Tour of Pembrokeshire by volunteering to assist us with marshalling.
Pembrokeshire Young Farmers are busily preparing for what promises to be a fun packed day of competitions at their annual County Rally. The event, which will be held at The County Showground in Haverfordwest on Saturday 27th May, showcases the wealth of talents on offer amongst members of the YFC. In the build up to the Rally, members will compete in a number of preliminary competitions from stock-judging to cookery and lip sync battles. The Royal Welsh Singing competition is always a highlight of the Rally and this year will be no exception with members voting to include all solo and group performances on Rally Day. Members will wow judges and audience alike with their vocal and performance skills.
From 9:30am members will be donning their white coats to take part in flower arranging, cookery, craft, woodwork, singing and dancing. Rally Day will also be the final of the Junior, Ladies and Men’s Tug of War. It will also be an opportunity to crown new Queen Jill Luke-Evans of Fishguard and her four attendants; Hannah Phillips Templeton, Christina Williams Clunderwen, Joanne Davies Tiers Cross, and Lisa Davies Eglwyswrw. Once again there will be a Male Ambassador and this year Iwan George Eglwyswrw YFC has been nominated. The Rally will be formally opened by the President of the County Show Mr Richard Cole. Members will compete for the opportunity to be named Rally Champions 2017. As the day draws to a close there will be an award ceremony with cups being awarded to the winners of the various competitions. Then members will dash home for a quick change before returning to enjoy a celebration dance at the Parkhouse which will have been transformed from a competing stage to a real party venue.
